Quality Control Manager

Company Introduction :

Job Description :


The QC Manager reports to Quality Director. 


Team to be managed: +/-50 Quality Controllers. 


The QC Manager takes the lead for change and innovation with regard to quality control: he leads, in the QC organization, the changes needed to go from the inspection process to the Advanced Quality System (SPC).  He establishes and maintains the relevant relationship with production for QC time management (shifts) and with Material Management for Work priorities.  He translates the Control strategy & Objectives given by Quality Director into an acceptable budget and organization.  The QC manager is responsible to organize, to steer QC activities and, as necessary, to take corrective actions.  He organizes the work flow, optimizes machine and QC performance by managing the skills, their flexibility and polyvalence and assures the QC-Prod skills by audit.  He organizes quality circles with Industrialization Department, method and production and shall be the focal point for all projects concerning scrap and default reduction to reduce scrap rates and non conformance level and supervises non conformance activity performed by QC.  He maintains and analyses quality KPI for products analyzes deviations and provides reports to support the decisions for the quality management.


 


Profile :


Education : Civil or Industrial Engineer Mechanics, Electro-mechanics or Materials


Languages : French, Dutch and English


Skills / Experience :


·         10-15 years in the industry, 5 years as manager of a team of 10 or more people or as project leader


·         Other: Lean, 5S, Quality tools, Quality Systems ISO 9001 or AS 9100, General Dimensioning and Tolerance, Drawing reading, measuring equipments, Project management, Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiment


·         People manager and leader, assertive, leader in changes, keeps deadlines, able to work in team as autonomously
