The company does this by applying her expertise in medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. This leading biopharmaceutical company has a global R&D centre, a very large production site and a European distribution centre in Belgium. Total employment in Belgium: about 2.300 people.
As a result of increasing business and the strategic decision to strengthen Medical Affairs, our client is looking to appoint a Brussels-based
Medical Director
Your goal is to maximize the clinical benefit and value of the companies' current and future products, and enable business success through understanding and communicating the medical benefits and outcomes of our products and therapies to key stakeholder groups.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Contributes to value maximization of current and future product portfolio; represents the medical voice and acts as medical reference regarding the products/therapies
- Supports marketed products by (generating and) disseminating scientific evidence and clinical evidence, both internally and towards key external, thereby improving the products' competitive positioning
- Identify, propose and manage clinical and non-clinical projects and activities that will contribute to the development of the companies' business, improve market access, aligned with global strategies and processes Requirements
- MD required with specialty training in functional area
- Our client is looking for a personality that can show impact in the market. Someone pro-active, entrepreneurial and out-going. An autonomous communicator that continuously develops contacts with KOLs and other stakeholders
- At least 15 years of total experience. Minimum of 10 years related clinical or regulatory experience. > 5 years pharma/biotech industry experience strongly preferred
- Excellent command of the Dutch, French and English languages
